Free Asbestos Awareness Training Courses
The HSE has recently launched a training initiative to promote and provide a number of free asbestos awareness training places.
If your employees work on buildings built or refurbished before the year 2000, asbestos could be present. They legally require asbestos awareness training so that they know how to avoid the risks.
Asbestos is the single greatest cause of work-related deaths in the UK. When the tiny fibres are inhaled they can cause serious diseases which are responsible for around 4000 deaths a year.
From September to November 2011, various training providers will be pledging and delivering free training sessions at a place near you.
