Recent Update To Customers
As your Health & Safety consultants, we have to operate in the best interests of the people we come into contact with on a day to day basis, and of the employees, we have in our own business.
To that end, we propose to postpone all non-essential consultancy visits to our customer premises or construction sites for the next 3 weeks, subject to a review w/c 13/04/2020.
Should you feel that your scheduled consultancy visit is essential for ongoing performance and continuation of your operations, please could you advise me by return email, as Lighthouse will review these requests on a case by case basis.
Where possible, we propose to conduct pro-active support for you remotely and therefore where things like Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, COSHH Assessments, Training Matrixes, Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and SSIP Accreditation application/renewals are required, we will be on-hand to support with these. Please be assured that our H&S and Employment Advice lines will remain fully operational at all times.
Similarly, should an accident or incident occur within your operations, we will continue to be on hand to support you with the requisite investigations. Please continue to contact Lighthouse in the usual manner should you encounter an accident or incident.
These measures are being taken in line with the Health & Safety Executive’s (HSE) current operational stance whereby pro-active inspections will not be undertaken, however reactive inspections in the wake of RIDDOR circumstances will continue.
Should further restrictions on activities be announced by the UK Government, we will review this current stance and provide you with an update accordingly.
Where your Lighthouse contract is due to expire over the next couple of months, the office will continue to make contact with you as usual to discuss the continuation of supporting services.
